We are a community oriented project and strive to foster a culture in which we examine the history of games, dissect modern day titles, and encourage insightful conversation about the greater video game industry.
Our Mission
We recognize video games as an artform, worthy of intense scrutiny and conversation. We reject black and white opinions like “This game sucks” and instead dissect games critically as any other art form and that like, other media, personal taste is critical to ones enjoyment of a piece of art.
We talk about the history of video games and explore the millions of stories that make up this relatively new industry.
We foster community and encourage conversation around video game culture. We encourage our audience to focus on the positive impacts gaming has had on their lives, and to share their passion with others.

About The Founder
Andrew James is a 20 year veteran of the video game industry, having worked at major publishers like EA, Ubisoft, and Epic Games in a Producer role. He founded GamePast, an instagram account that highlights video game history. Andrew is active in the video game industry and can be seen hosting panels or talks at such conventions as GDC and SF New Tech.
